BLESSED VIRGIN MARY THE WOMAN ALL GENERATION MUST CALL BLESSED

In the Old Testament, God speaking through the mouth of king David, promised to make Mary's name be remembered by all people and decreed that all generations must call her blessed: "O daughter, I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore, all the people shall bless thee forever and ever" Ps. 45:17.

Then in the New Testament, Mary herself attested to the above promise made to her by God: "From now on all generations must call me blessed."- Lk. 1:48. This divine promise is being fulfilled in her in that, apart from being exempted from all stain of sin, both original and actual, God has also placed her in a position that can never be equaled by any other person in all human experience, and indeed, in all creation. That position is her election as mother of God (i.e. Her Divine Maternity) and the woman of salvation to the human family. Hence whenever the word "Salvation" is mentioned, the name "Jesus" is remembered and adored by all creatures in heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth Philippians 2:10, and whenever Jesus is mentioned, with joy, the name "Virgin Mary" is remembered, honoured, praised and blessed by all creatures - the past, the present, and the future Lk. 1: 42; Rm. 16:6; Prov. 31: 31.

This is God's own divine eternal decree. Children of God, no matter what people may say, no matter what they do, whether some people have chosen not to call Mary blessed, what cannot be denied is the fact that the Most Holy Trinity, the Church, the Holy Bible, the Heavens. Myself and all generations have continued to proclaim her blessed and this is forever. Everything will pass away but God's proclamation of Mary's perpetual blessedness must remain because God's own words will never pass away Mt. 24:35. Consequently, whoever decides not to honour Mary is deciding not to do the will of God and will face the consequences of such decision. He shall be destroyed and forgotten forever Hosea 4:6. But those who bless and honour Mary, whether in terms of the recitation of the Hail Mary, or in terms of the recitation of the Holy Rosary and other Marian Prayers, shall be abundantly rewarded with heavenly graces. If God could say to Abraham who is quite inferior to Mary in the order of grace: "I will bless you make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you. But I will curse those who curse you and through you I will bless all the nations" Gen. 12:2-3, what then do we think He (God) has said to Mary when He called her "Full of Grace?" Obviously, the Magnificat of Mary has become the song that will make her name famous and be remembered forever. It is in her that all that God has said to Abraham were fulfilled. For by means of Jesus Christ the fruit of her womb, God has blessed all the nations. Whoever that curses her, shall be cursed by God. But whoever that blesses and honours her as his mother, shall be blessed with great wealth and long life which is life everlasting in heaven Ecclesiasticus or Sirach 3:3-6.

Now let us examine how Jesus Christ himself has honoured and glorified Mary by his actions and words. Apart from his "obedience" to her at the wedding of Cana and at his finding in the temple, as well as his address of her as "woman" (both at Cana and at the foot of the cross), a symbolic name often applied to the Jewish people, let us consider his glorification of her in the gospel according to St. Luke.
